The Boudoir Experience – An Honest Interview (PIA)

As you know I’m all about encouraging everyone to embrace themselves and love every part of them. So sitting down with people I have worked with to ask why they had a boudoir shoot, how it made them feel, and what they would say to others thinking about it, is always a personal highlight. Here’s what happened when I sat down with Pia and asked about her boudoir experience.

Why did you say yes? I was excited to do a shoot that was different to anything I had done before. Having looked through how gorgeous the work you had done previously I was super keen to try this kind of shoot with you for the first time.

How did it make you feel? Confident! I felt more myself than ever and was given a true opportunity to express myself creatively. My personality shines through the photos we took and I feel they represent who I am as a person.

Have you ever judged people on what they post? I think maybe when I was about 16. It’s something I definitely grew out of and was probably based on teenage jealousy.

What do/would you say to people who judge others on what they post? I think it’s a shame that anyone would judge someone for something based on self-love and confidence. I’d tell them that I think their opinion is based on a lack of understanding of the message that anyone at any time can love themselves, and should be proud of what they look like, and who they are.

Was there something that changed your mind about doing a boudoir shoot? I had a couple of friends that had done them and seen how much they’d loved the photos and how good the whole experience made them feel. So when the opportunity came up for me, I took it.

Was there something that changed your mind about sharing the boudoir shots? After seeing how classy and professional the photos came out I was more than happy for you to share them.

What would you say to those thinking about having a boudoir shoot? Just do it! Even if you’re not sure, you can always go for a consultation to discuss what your boundaries and insecurities are to see if you’d be comfortable.
