The Best Calendar of 2022!

Late last year I threw out the idea of creating a calendar to one of my friends, and we thought, yeah why not? Let’s create the best calendar. So we pulled all of our ideas together, pushed the boat out there, and tried to create the best calendar we possibly could. We wanted to move out of our comfort zones and produce something that we were both proud of, and people would want to buy. Needless to say, the global pandemic interfered a little and caused some delays, but we persevered and are now weeks away from finalising it all.

So who are we?

Hi, I’m Isaac, this is my website, you probably know who I am. And this is Pia, this isn’t her website, but you can find her featured throughout!

Why did we choose a calendar?

Having twelve different months gave us the opportunity to come up with twelve different themes, allowing us to try some new things. Combine that with relevant style associations, like February and Valentines Day, we had some creative freedom to portray not only what we thought each month represented or was represented by, but also how we chose to present certain topical occasions. Working out how we wanted to portray Christmas, and coming up with Halloween outfits, or props for the beach. Twelve styles, twelve mini shoots, or in most cases full shoots.

What style the calendar will be?

Let’s call it “boudoir, but we didn’t want to get caught in public”. The original idea was to make it as raunchy as possible without being explicit or overly sexual. But, shooting a lot of the looks outside, and Pia not wanting to look naked, limited some months in practicality. However, we have shot 13 beautiful styles, with some incredibly curvalicious shots for all your enjoyment. Think glamourous model, teasing you with some “come to bed eyes” and extremely low cut tops with incredible amounts of leg and butt on show.

The process of making the calendar:

Although the whole process took longer than expected, sometimes due to bad weather, other times we needed to change dates or had prior commitments, we still managed to shoot all 12 months and the cover on just 4 separate occasions. When shooting indoors we used various studio settings and candid locations. Meanwhile, we visited a variety of locations outdoors, including one beach we didn’t end up shooting at, truly making the most of the Great British summer.

Overall this process was incredibly fun to brainstorm, plan, and shoot, even though it gave me a MOUNTAIN of editing to do. Creative projects like these that aren’t exactly normal, and require more coordination or creative thinking really drive me to push my boundaries. I don’t want to shoot the standard valentines day shoot, but I still want it to be recognisable, how can I do that?

These little boundaries and expectations I set myself pushed me to think outside the box while trying and deliver something that I would take inspiration from. In the end, this was just a lot of fun times with a friend, and I would do it again. (Although I would spread it out a bit more and give myself more time)
